Visualization
Have you ever wondered - I have this space and I need to do something with it to make it useful, or more inviting, or just spruce it up but you can't figure out what it would look like or how to design it? We use software tools to visualize spaces by taking exact measurements and designing the area. This provides you with the opportunity to see what the end result could look like and start your project with confidence!
Kitchen Design
-
Here is an aged, dark kitchen that is not as functional as the home owner would like it to be. There is a fireplace in an awkward space with columns blocking the view from the family room. The island is small for the large kitchen space and non-functional
-
After client consultation, all exact kitchen measurements were entered into the software program and cabinets (preferrably in standard sizes to reduce cost) were fitted and a visualization of a bright and spacious kitchen was created with accent island
-
Decisions had to be made. Handmade millwork cabinets were going to cost so the client opted for an IKEA kitchen where due to colour choices, the turquoise island turned grey. However, the functionality and spaciousness of the design was accomplished
Breakfast Nook Design
-
Corner space - what? It's usually where things get tucked in and forgotten or the children take up the space. What about a custom-built breakfast nook - storage underneath but functional above. Time to get this design thinking going
-
First we take measurements to see what we're working with and then create the design in Sketchup so we can fit and re-fit pieces of the breakfast nook. Consult with client throughout the process to make sure we are aligned
-
The nook is a custom built frame of regular pressure treated wood. Then we used IKEA kitchen cabinet doors and panels to create a polished look. Custom cushions were created for extra comfort
TV Wall Design
-
We love the IKEA Kallax units, however in this case, it looked not integrated and cables were tangled behind it. We wanted to create a space, that is warm, inviting, and it looked as part of the room
-
With our measurements, we fabricated a frame using pressure treated wood to create a built-in look. The fireplace unit brought some much needed warmth to the space.
-
To match the rest of the family room interior, which is connected to the kitchen and cabinets are ivory, the floating shelves and mantle were decided to be ivory instead of wood. The cabinets also have ventilation, which helps with the gaming equipment
