There are so many options when it comes to drapes - from sheer curtains, solid panels - to accent drapery pieces that match a certain piece of furniture or decor, to drapery that just belnds with the wall colour. It all depends on the personal style and vision of the homeowner - NOTHING is out of bounds when we speak about drapery.

They do provide a form of elegance into the room and are best paired with sheer curtains to provide a warm and inviting ambience.
While you can use fabric only, adding a lining helps to avoid fabric fading, as well as adds a weight to the drapery for nice pleat falls.
Gromet drapes are a functional design for drapes where it blends the gromet to the colour of the curtain rod. They're easy to slide and pleat nicely.
These type of drape designs are not for everyone - some say they look like shower curtains, others prefer them as they provide more modern look to the space. Again, it is all about how you feel your space should look like.
